James Kavanagh will be flexing his acting chops in a new podcast drama series.
Fruit, created by Ultan Pringle and Lisa Nally, tells the story of four LGBTQ+ women in Dublin.
And it’s not just James Kavanagh who will be lending his voice to the six-part drama.
There is a pretty stacked cast in the podcast series, including Celia Murphy, Linda Martin, Michael Fry and Aidan Gillen.
The series is described: “Telling the story of the flirtations, trials and tribulations of four LGBTQ+ gals in Dublin City today, Fruit brings fabulous new writing, emerging talent and some of Ireland’s biggest gay icons directly into your AirPods.
“Fruit, through the lens of queer lives, loves & friendships, tackles topics including what is to be trans today; queerness in the workplace; the difficulty of finding a home in a hostile city; and the still prevalent stigmatisation of a HIV+ diagnosis, while celebrating the complexities and joys of Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community.”
The podcast will air new episodes each week on streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the LemonSoap website.
