Jake Carter is keen to take over presenting duties on next season’s Dancing With The Stars.
It comes as co-presenter Nicky Byrne stepped down from his role on the show, to focus on other work. Leaving the space wide open, many are speculating about who will step into the Westlife star’s shoes.
Chatting with RSVP Live and making no secret that he’d love to take on the role, he said:
“If I was offered, I would definitely jump on it”
“I don’t think you could say no. It’s the biggest show on Irish television.”
He went on to say that although presenting is not his first love, he would be happy to add it to his CV regardless.
“Presenting is something I never intended to do but it’s cropped up quite a bit being in the TV industry the past few years and it’s something I enjoy doing.”
Jake has a special connection with the show. Competing on it himself in 2018, Jake took home both the winning title of the season, and his other half, Karen Byrne.
Jake was paired with dancing pro, Karen, for his time on the series, when they struck up a romance. They have been in a relationship since, moving in together and even becoming fur-parents to their beloved dog Lenny.
For now, there is still no confirmation on who will be taking over DWTS come next year.
