Jack Keating has shared that Love Island producers were initially keen to get his younger sister, Missy into the Villa over him.
Chatting about his time in the villa, from which he was booted from last week after he failed to make a connection with any of the girls, Jack said that producers didn’t consider him at first.
“For the last two years, they asked Missy. They scouted Missy to do the show and she’s been kind of like ‘nah, it’s not really for me, it’s not the right timing’ and stuff like that.”
Then, Jack says that after discussing it with his sister he thought that it could be a good idea to head in there himself.
“Then me and Missy I think had a couple of drinks and she was like ‘Jack, why don’t you apply for it so I thought why not?’ It was never something I thought about doing before and I just thought why not.
“I thought if I didn’t do it, I could look back in 10 or 20 years as something I would’ve regretted so I thought why not, let’s go for that.”
Fans were sad to see that Jack didn’t hit it off with any of the girls in the Casa Amor villa and so had to leave the show.
However, Jack says a lot went on with him on the show that viewers didn’t get to see. Unbeknownst to us, Jack hit it off with contestant Paige in a platonic way, with her even inviting him to stay with her in Wales when filming ends.
“Me and Paige got on very, very well. Obviously she is in a relationship with Jacques”
“It was a crazy, crazy couple of days. I think we had four full days in there and it was literally non-stop. It was the best time ever. Obviously, I didn’t find any romantic relationships but friendship-wise. I hope I have made some mates for life”
