Nicky Byrne has said that he would “love” a Westlife reunion at some point in the future.
The Dancing With The Stars Ireland host spoke about the bands plans to reunite today at the National Maternity Hospitals fundraising coffee morning for World Prematurity Day 2017.
“I would love to do a Westlife reunion and so would, I hope, the other lads too,” Nicky told VIP Magazine.
“Who wouldn’t want to do that again, the laughs with the boys and seeing all the fans again so of course.”
Louis Walsh, former Westlife manager, earlier this week started the rumour that the band were to reunite, but Nicky has now said that it’s not happening any time soon.
“There is no truth in it,” the 39-year-old revealed.
“I know what he’s like, someone must have said to him are Westlife coming back and he would been like I know it’s definitely going to happen, I don’t know when, but that’s what Louis does and it got a lot of ground so like yeah.
“Genuinely the four of us haven’t been in a room since, it was a sad occasion, for Jodi’s mom’s funeral . . . and that’s a long time ago.
“When is the question, like I wouldn’t love to do it now because I just have so much going on.
“Genuinely I would need to consider what happens to the radio , can you take a sabbatical, can you come in on these days…but again that’s not even on the forefront of my mind at the moment, my main focus is to make this radio show the biggest it can be, dancing with the stars, family life, that’s it.”
