Hughie Maughan may have a new career venture on the cards. The 22-year-old Dancing With The Stars contestant suffered a major beauty faux-pas on last Sunday’s show, by wearing an alarmingly dark shade of fake tan; but now he may be turning a negative into a positive.
Social media went wild when images of a bronzed Hughie went viral last weekend. Although most reactions to his tan mishap were in jest, the Dubliner revealed that he’s had a lot of negativity directed his way, he even received death threats.
He shared his frustrations on Twitter yesterday saying, “Cant believe I’ve been receiving death threats this week because of the tan. My God, how am I racist for a tan mistake.” However, now something positive may have come out of the ‘tangate’ ordeal.
A source close to Hughie has revealed that now, having learned his lesson, he may be set to launch his own range of tan.
Speaking to The Sun the pal said, “Hughie is now the best known user of fake tan in the world right now. He has learned the hard way from his mistakes, so who better to front a tanning range than Hughie Maughan?”
The real question now is- what shade would it be?
