Hollywood star set to join Sean Spicer in Late Late show lineup

This week’s Late Late show features a very interesting mix of guests.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that former White House press secretary Sean Spicer would be chatting to Ryan, but the full lineup has now been revealed.

Hollywood star Liam Neeson will be in studio to chat about being one of the world’s biggest action stars as his new movie The Commuter lands in cinemas.

He’ll explain why he’s still loving kicking ass as Hollywood’s go-to hardman at the age of 65.

Sean Spicer will talk about what it was like to be part of one of the most controversial US presidencies in history.

He will be talking about finding himself at the centre of a global media storm after his first outing facing the press in the White House and why he still believes he was right to claim that Trump’s inauguration was the biggest ever.

He’ll be taking viewers through his six months in the eye of the storm, including what he really thinks about Melissa McCarthy’s infamous impression of him on Saturday Night Live, and why he ultimately decided to resign.

Presenter Maura Derrane, Snapchat star James Kavanagh and former Irish international footballer Stephen Hunt will be joining Ryan to chat about the things they’d like to bin as 2018 gets underway.

Deborah Somorin will be telling her moving story on the show. She became homeless at 13-years-old and moved into emergency accommodation where she had to be locked into her room at night for her own safety. When she became pregnant at 14, the home where she was living was turned into a mother and baby unit with staff helping her adjust to her new life as a mum.

At 17-years-old her own mother, who suffered from depression, died by suicide. From such turbulent beginnings, she has turned her life around, working for accountancy firm PwC and due to qualify as a chartered accountant next year. On Friday night she will share how, through sheer determination, she triumphed over incredible adversity.

Viewers will also be meeting some of the brightest minds from the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition including the winner of this year’s competition.

In Music this week, The Academic will perform and following his health scare after the Late Late Country Special a hale and hearty Charlie Landsborough returns to perform.

The Late Late Show airs Friday at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
