Irish celebrities stepped out in style on Friday night at the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards.
While everyone brought glitz and glamour, Helen Steele opted to make more than just a fashion statement with her dress.
The designer unsurprisingly made her own stunning dress, adorned with a political statement.
“It’s for ‘Fashion is for Repealing’, It’s for repeal the 8th,” she told VIP Magazine.
The star explained that with the referendum on the 8th amendment coming up, she is working with other designers to make a collection for the Yes campaign.
“The Hunreal Issues got a group of designers to do stuff so this is one of the prints that I designed for them,” she said.

“This dress is going into an auction on the 10th on May in the Atrium in Powerscourt Shopping Centre.
Designers including Emma Manley, Chupi and Caoimhe MacNeice are also contributing to the initiative.
Speaking about the upcoming referendum, Helen explained: “I will be voting Yes because I have two daughters.”
