Gordon Ramsay surprised staff at an Irish restaurant this week.

Yes, the iconic chef is currently in our country and enjoying some of our fabulous cuisine.

He dropped into Daata in Bray, County Wicklow which has some gorgeous Indian and Pakistani food.

The restaurant also has Blackrock, Greystones, and Glasthule.

Clearly, he was impressed with the food as he posed for snaps with staff at the restaurant.

“We are over the moon (and still shocked) that Gordan Ramsay chose Daata Bray to have his dinner tonight,” they wrote on social media to mark Gordon’s visit to the spot.

“WE CANNOT BELIEVE IT. And his favourite dish was the Saleem’s Butter Chicken & Shamim’s Afghani Chicken.”

Well, now we have to try it!

They shared another shot with the caption: “No one does it better than our Daata team! Gordan was delighted to chat away to our amazing, talented chefs tonight about the food!

“We are honoured to have hosted him tonight and are over the moon by all his kind comments on our food, service & ambience.”

It seems like the perfect night out!

Gordon wasn’t just on holidays, he was actually shooting his new show. It was announced earlier this month that he’s to shoot the next two seasons of his show Next Level Chef in Ireland.

The show’s third and fourth seasons will be filmed right here on our shores with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar confirming the news last year.

It is set to be filmed in a purpose-built, brand-new sound stage at Ashford Studios, Co. Wicklow.
