Gogglebox Ireland is set to return in Autumn, but before it does they need to find some new tv-watchers.
TV3 say they are looking for people who would like to appear on the show and are specifically interested in couples, siblings and retirees.
In a statement from broascaster, they said: “TV3’s smash hit show Gogglebox Ireland is back this autumn and we’re on the lookout for new faces and their sofas, to join Ireland’s most opinionated TV fans!
“For the brand new series, we’re looking for long-term couples, brothers and sisters, retired people, sporty lads… and of course, we’d never say no to a nun….or a priest!
“If you think you’ve got what it takes, drop us an email at casting@kiteentertainment.com and tell us who’s in your gang, where you’re based, what you like to watch together and a photo if possible!”
So if you love watching TV and love commenting on shows, good or bad, this may be your time to shine.
And you don’t need to worry about being a comedian either.
Executive producer Darren Smith told Dermot & Dave: “It’s not really ‘funny down the pub’ we’re looking for. Accidentally funny is always funnier than being deliberately funny.”
He also revealed there is one specific type of person they are looking for: “We’d love a a nun or a member of the clergy but they’ve always proved to be quite elusive.”
