Caption: Today (6th September) officially launches the Irish Heart Foundation’s Her Heart Matters campaign, which takes place for the month of September and aims to raise awareness of the prevalence of heart disease and stroke amongst women and save lives by encouraging women to make vital, sustainable changes to improve their heart health.

One in four women in Ireland die from heart disease and stroke according to the Irish Heart Foundation, which has revealed that cardiovascular disease is more prevalent among women than breast cancer. Despite this, recent research carried out on behalf of the Irish Heart Foundation revealed that almost one-third (30%) of women do not have enough time each day to focus on their health.
