While Y2K makeup looks are trending at the minute, Hollywood glamour can never go out of style.

From a bold red lip to a smokey eye, makeup inspired by Marilyn Monroe is a staple for red carpets.

Lorna Weightman decided to bring a Jennifer Lawrence makeup look to life on the Platinum VIP Style Award red carpet this year with the help of our beauty sponsor, Lancôme.

The blonde bombshell explained, “The inspiration for the look is a Jennifer Lawrence look where she had gone for a really bright lip. It was a shade that was really representative of Lancome and I really wanted to embody that.

“I had come up with some images of Jennifer Lawrence, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Candice Swanepoel and mixed them all together. I am wearing something very classic and I wanted my makeup to contemporary.”

She created the beautiful look with the help of Lancôme with makeup artist Fortunato telling us, “She wanted a classic Lancôme look. She is wearing a very simple dress so we added a pop of colour with the lip. The red lipstick makes it a statement look.”

To create this look at home, you can nab three key makeup products.

To create a beautiful dewy base, our makeup artist used Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation (€40.50) which comes out in a flawless primer. While you start with a brush, you can create that real skin look by using your fingers to then pat it in.

It’s not just about the foundation however, you need some bronzer and contour to give your skin some texture. Instead of using the usual contour powder, Lancôme opted for the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Stick Foundation in number six (€32.50).

Creating the classic smokey eye, it was very important that Lorna’s beautiful blue eyes were the centrepiece. Fortunato explained that using taupe colours is perfect for blue eyes as they make them pop.

For this, he used Lancôme’s Hypnôse Eye Palette in Taupe Craze (€50.95).

To make that iconic bold lip you’ll need to get your hands on the beloved L’absolu Rouge 132 lipstick (€34).
