Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge hits our screens again this evening on RTE One for the first show of the season. Series one proved popular with viewers, and tonight’s guests are sure to get audiences talking.
Series two is coming back with a bang, as producers have booked Newstalk presenter George Hook and Dragon’s Den star Norah Casey for tonight’s discussion, and things could get heated.
Speaking to the Irish Sun Brendan said that both guests are strong minded and he’s ready to play referee tonight if needs be.
“Do George and Norah get on? I don’t know because we have never had them on together. They are two very strong minded people. I can see a lot of fault lines around the table,” he said.
Rugby pundit George also waded in with his opinion on tonight’s lineup, telling the newspaper that he’s ready for a row if American politics is a topic of discussion. However, he is unaware of businesswoman Norah’s views.
”If we discuss the American Presidential Election, there is definitely going to be a row because I think Hilary Clinton is getting the softest ride in the history of American politics. I have some very strong views.
“I would hardly recognise Norah because she did the breakfast show on Newstalk so she was going to bed when I was coming on air. Of her opinions about things, I wouldn’t know. I don’t know her. I have never met her, and I don’t believe in researching these things before a debate. I’ve a lot of debating experience,” he said.
Also on tonight’s Cutting Edge is Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope writer, Stefanie Preissner. We’re ready to see the claws come out on RTE One at 9:35pm.
