DWTS: How all the celebrities got on in week one

Dancing with the Stars has returned and we couldn’t be more delighted.

The first episode saw celebrities take to the floor as they showed off the skills that they have been honing for the past few weeks.

Here is how it went…

Stephanie Roche

Admitting that she was “terrified” to kick off the show, she gave us an impressive routine.

Stephanie Roche and Ervinas kicked things off with a score of 13.

Suzanne Jackson

She was on fire when she showed off her dance moves on the floor. And those legs!

It was no surprise that she picked up an impressive 23.

Kevin McGahern

The comedian has already been branded the “dark horse” of the dancefloor.

Kevin McGahern picked up a score of 19 from the judges.

Paul Brogan

There were plenty of comments about those trousers, but what about Paul’s dancing?

He didn’t hit those high notes, scoring a 15.

Leah O’Rourke

School’s out forever. While Arthur loved Derry Girls star Leah O’Rourke she failed to impress the rest of the judges.

She scored a 14 for her Paso Doble.

Dr Marie Cassidy

She danced up a storm on the floor and she was branded “brilliant” by the judges. “If you’re having fun on the dancefloor, we’re all having fun with you,” Arthur enthused.

As for the score, she was awarded a solid 15.

Damian McGinty

It looks like Glee is the word. Damian really did dance up a storm this Sunday and proved himself to be a fierce competitor.

He scored a respectable 19.

Brooke Scullion

She showed up and showed out at the Eurovision last year. So it’s no surprise that she impressed the judges on the dancefloor. It was no surprise that she burst into tears when she finished up.

Branded “powerful” it was no surprise that she was awarded an incredible 25.

Carl Mullan

Carl swapped his living room dances for a Foxtrot on the dancefloor. And he certainly put a smile on the judges’ faces.

So what about the score? Well, he nabbed 16.

Shane Byrne

He may be a rugby legend, but how can he measure up on the dancefloor? Well, he impressed the judges with his Quickstep.

He scored a respectable 17.

Panti Bliss

Making history with the first same-sex couple on Dancing with the Stars, Rory O’Neill AKA Panti Bliss danced up a storm on Sunday.

The show finished with a bang and scored a well-deserved 23.
