Celebrity cook Donal Skehan has had to take it easy over the last few months, after a hectic schedule and busy lifestyle left him severely burned out.
The Howth native admitted that he’d been so busy between planning his wedding to Sofie Larsson and working on new shows, that he was feeling drained and was forced to take time off.
The star revealed that it was when he was travelling abroad a couple of months ago that he realised something was wrong.
Speaking to the VIP Magazine, Donal said, “I’d had a mad schedule and I had to go to hospital in Vietnam for being ill- I ended up on two rounds of anti biotics when I got back and went straight into a 20 date tour. I was exhausted but it was not exhaustion. It was one of the main reason I wrote the new book”
The foodie revealed that because he’s been so busy with the latest release, the newly weds haven’t been able to have much time to themselves since getting married, but that can all change now ‘Fresh’ has hit shelves.
“We haven’t had much time out. I don’t know if we had the honeymoon period or the chance to just settle down, but we will now,” he said to the Irish Independent.
Donal previously admitted that the couple are putting all plans of starting a family on hold, while they concentrate on furthering their careers.
