Doireann Garrihy hung up her mic earlier this summer.
And now she has free time on her hands, she and her fiancé Mark Mehigan have decided to head off on a trip of a “lifetime”.
Sure who could blame them?
Doireann shared a snap of the pair outside Departures in Dublin Airport as they started their excursion.

The pair will be travelling for around six weeks but they haven’t booked return flights yet!
Mark wrote on social media: “The day has come. Feeling extremely grateful to be heading away on the trip of a lifetime with @doireanngarrihy”
He cheekily added about their bright yellow matching suitcases: “we can roast the suitcases later.”
Of course, they were quickly met by well wishes as Carl Mullan wrote: “I’m gonna need details on the suitcases. have a savage time.”
Doireann’s mother Clare told them: “Safe travels, go make some memories and don’t worry about King Bert!!”
“Have the best time!!” Rosanna Davison added.
The couple has made their start in France, but that is only the first stop on their journey. We’re sure we’ll be updated on social media over the coming weeks.
And we can’t wait!
Doireann will walk down the aisle at the end of the year, so there’s no time like the present to travel!
