Niall Horan’s debut single This Town has gone platinum in the US.
The single soared up the charts when it was released in September of last year, and the success of the track has yet to halt.
This Town has received a silver platinum status through the Recording Industry Association of America.
Following the continued success of that song, Niall has put the release of his debut album on hold for a little while.
He wants to ensure that the album is absolutely perfect before it hits the shelves, but isn’t quite sure how long that will take.
Speaking to Larry King recently, he said, “I am taking my time on it. I don’t want to rush it.
“I said it would be out at the start of the summer but I might push it back a small bit. I don’t really have an idea.
“I’ll keep writing until it’s there and when it’s there I’ll let everyone know. It’s not going to be all singles.”
