Aidan Turner fever has hit the US, and surprise, surprise, there’s one particular aspect of his Poldark character that is particularly sending his new American fans wild.
Yup, THAT shirtless image of the hunky actor is setting pulses racing in the States after PBS began broadcasting the BBC period drama.
And Aidan seems to be receiving rave reviews among the harshest of US critics, with the Variety asking: “Who knew there were ab exercises in the 18th century?” and a New York Times reviewer calling his character Ross Poldark: “the noblest, hottest, most down-to-earth hero who ever rallied the troops or scythed a field shirtless and in slow motion”.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, viewers couldn’t contain their lust. “Damn this Poldark guy is HAWT”, one wrote, while another tweeted: “Mom and I just finished watching part 1 of Poldark. We have no idea what exactly is happening, but we agree that Aiden is hot.”
