Conor McGregor has opened up about the time he thought he was going to get a speeding ticket, but ended up turning the situation around once the police realised who he was.
The MMA star revealed in a short clip for Sports Illustrated that when he was pulled over recently, instead of getting a ticket, he simply ended up taking a selfie with the police.
“[He was in a] full police copper outfit and he pulled me in. I thought I was going to get a ticket, brought to court or fined,” he said.
“He comes up to the window and looks at me and says, ‘Do you have a driver’s license?’ I said ‘Yeah’.
“I showed him the driver’s license and he looked at it, and then looked at me and said, ‘Do you mind if I jump in the passenger seat for a selfie?’
“He jumped in, takes the selfie and says, ‘Thanks very much, see you later’, then off I went at 200mph like Batman.”
Elsewhere, Conor and his girlfriend Dee have been making the most of his time off just before the big fight in Vegas next week.
The pair went for a drive around the city in his Lamborghini, with Conor saying, “Aventador to the corner store.”
Oh how the other half live…
