Claire Byrne has opened up about her impending wedding to Gerry Scollan, revealing that she wants it to be an intimate ceremony.
The couple have two children together, and are planning on marrying soon, but haven’t released an official date.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail, she said, “ It will be very simple. We are not eloping, not doing anything big because we have a one and a two year old.
“We’re not into anything that fancy, so we’re just going to do something small and enjoy it ourselves.”
Claire previously revealed that because her work schedule was so busy, she had no time to plan her big day, but now that things have all settled down she can finally sort out the small details and spend time with her family.
“It’s just been a really busy time with the election so that’s where the focus has been. [I’m] going to take a week off at Easter.
“[I’m] really looking forward to that. We’re just going to relax for a week and take some time out as it’s just been so, so busy. Both of us have been really busy,” she said.
They’ll certainly need the rest – wedding planning is tough work!
