Claire Byrne was the favourite to take on the hosting position on The Late Late Show.
However, Claire has now pulled herself out of the running.
Despite reports that she was top of the list to step into the role, she has denied claims that she would be presenting the show come autumn.
“I have a young family, a busy home life and a full-time radio job that I love, and right now, that is enough for me,” she said per The Independent.
She explained that she is not ruling out TV fully she feels that The Late Late Show needs someone who can give it the “time and dedication that it deserves”.
Claire went on to say that she was “honoured” to have her name linked with “such a prestigious broadcasting role”.
Other names still being linked with the post include Brendan O’Connor, Tommy Tiernan, Sarah McInerney and Patrick Kielty.
Only time will tell who will be sitting in the hot seat after summer.
