Cillian Murphy has opened up about the possibility of starring with Jamie Dornan in a Rice Krispies movie.
The actor joked said in an interview with Vulture magazine that Hollywood is so desperate for a new movie he wouldn’t be surprised if they asked him and pal Jamie Dornan to star in a Rice Krispie movie.
He said, “I reckon they’re going to make a movie of Rice Krispies starring Snap, Crackle, and Pop. I’m hoping to play Crackle.”
The Irish star explained that he doesn’t think comic book movies are what they used to be.
He told the magazine, “Have they exhausted every single comic book ever? I don’t know where they’re coming from anymore.”
The heartthrob went on to explain that it was a different time when he took part in Batman begins and he believes that renowned director Chris Nolan is responsible for making the Batman trilogy such a huge success.
He said, “It was a different time back when we made Batman Begins. I think that Chris [Nolan] has to take credit for making that trilogy of films. I think they’re so grounded in a relatable reality.
“Nobody in those films ever had a superpower. It’s a slightly heightened level of storytelling, where New York is Gotham, and no one did anything magical. Batman in his movies just did a lot of push-ups and was, like, British. So that’s what I loved about them.”
We have to agree with you there, Cillian!
