Charlie Bird has shared his emotional request after his death.
The journalist was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in October 2021 and since then he has been sharing updates with followers about his condition.
Now Charlie has asked his followers to look after his family after he passes away in a heartbreaking social media post.
Reiterating this call in a Twitter update, Charlie said: “Last year I asked when I pass would you keep supporting Claire and Tiger with extending the hand of friendship to people in dark places. I got a great response.
“Where I am now in my journey. I want to repeat the call.
“I love you all,” he added.
Just last week, Charlie had said in a previous social media post that his health had “changed completely”.
“I now have to be hoisted in and out of bed. I want to thank my neighbours and carers for all they are doing for me.”
Throughout his career, Charlie was known for his incredible storytelling and documentaries, while in recent years he has been raising awareness around Motor neurone disease.
