Grainne Seoige has revealed that Hollywood pop singer Bruno Mars tried it on with her when they met in London a number of years ago, even asking the stunning Irish speaker to go on a date with him.
Speaking of the awkward encounter on 2FM’s The Eoghan McDermott Show, the former RTE presenter joked, saying that the star invited herself and her colleague Tasmin Khan to one of his concerts.
“I didn’t teach him any Gaeilge but I had to put him back in his box one morning on breakfast TV. I think he was really using me to ask the news anchor (Tasmin Khan) on Daybreak out. He was inviting us to his concerts and it sounded like that Al Pacino line, ‘Say hello to my little friend,’” she said.
While the 43-year-old thinks that the Uptown Funk singer was more interested in her colleague Tasmin, she still told him and his advances where to go!
“He said, ‘And bring your little friend with you,’ and I’m like, ‘No we’ll be tucked up in bed.’
“No, I think he liked Tasmin. I said, ‘You’ll have to ask her yourself, but I know I’m not free tonight.’
“I prefer my men well over six-foot tall,” she said.
