Body & Soul announce brand new acts for 2023 line-up

Body & Soul is back for its 13th year this summer.

Fans flocked to buy tickets when they dropped last year, and now the incredible line-up has been revealed.

Late last year, the organisers confirmed Moderat, Gilles Peterson, Shanti Celeste, BCUC, Sorcha Richardson and Aoife Nessa Frances for the 2023 edition.

Now 31 additional acts have been announced.

The Blessed Madonna will be taking to the stage in June. She’s joined by leaders of a new era of Irish music, Choice Music Prize winner Denise Chaila, co-founder of independent record label Soft Boy Records Kojaque and Dublin post-punk band The Murder Capital.

Kneecap has also been confirmed to be performing their signature rap style. More homegrown talent comes from Ailbhe Reddy, Junior Brother and Efa O’Neill.

The All Female Friday line up led by Avalon Emerson (AD 93) – a DJ renowned for her dynamic approach that reaches into all eras and genres of dance music and joined by Bristol powerhouse Shanti Celeste, Australian electronic producer and DJ, HAAi alongside homegrown heroes, Kerry-native, Efa O’Neill and Berlin-based Sara Miller.

Community takes centre stage this year as the theme with a three-day celebration of the diverse creative landscape of Ireland.
