Baz Ashmawy made his return to the airwaves on Radio 1 this week, covering for Ray D’Arcy on his afternoon programme.
Listeners are loving having the 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy star back on their radio’s, taking to Twitter to post lovely tributes to him. One fan wrote, “Great job filling in for Ray,” while another said, “Loving the show on RTE. Needs to become permanent.”
It seems that radio lovers aren’t the only ones happy about Baz’s interviews, as the presenter himself couldn’t contain his excitement while chatting to one guest in particular.
On yesterday’s show the 41-year-old spoke to Australian hunk Jason Donovan, and revealed on social media that he was “a bit excited” to meet him.
“I’ve had a bit of a man-crush on Jason Donovan for a long time,” he announced on Snapchat.
The show also took to Twitter to let listeners know that Baz could not be tamed in the studio while Jason was on air!
“We can’t control @BazAshmawy excitement right now @JDonOfficial is LIVE in studio with the Million Dollar Quartet @BGETheatre.”
We can understand his feelings towards the former Neighbours favourite!
