Kodaline’s Steve Garrigan is clearly one proud boyfriend.

His tv star girlfriend Diana Bunici has penned her first book, The Pursuit of Awesome, and the rocker made sure to let everyone know he’s her number one fan.

“So proud of my beautiful girlfriend huge congrats on launching your first book Xxx” he tweeted his girlfriend of over one year.

VIP recently met with Diana to discuss her new book, which she told us she wrote to “help teenagers who have this passion but don’t know how to turn it into a career.”

Diana told us that she was involved with every aspect of the book, from writing to editing to sourcing images, and admitted next time she wouldn’t mind asking for some more help.

“I really did feel the pressure on my shoulders,” she said. She also told us how encouraging her beau, who she interviewed for the book, was about her latest project.

“He’s forever telling me how proud he is of the book,” she told VIP. “And also, what I loved, was that he was really engaging with it. I never had to ask him to read through things with me – he really wanted to.”

The Pursuit of Awesome: Stellar Musings & Advice on Achieving Your Dreams is available now in all good bookshops and LibertiesPress.com.

My death row meal: “Oh, God. I don’t know. I love food so much; it’s hard to choose just one, but if I had to it would probably be my mum’s Moldovan home cooking.”

The one star I’d love to interview is: “Graham Norton. He just seems like so much fun and he’d be amazing to chat to. Or Obama. There’s a lot going on in his head, and I’d like to have an insight.”

A night out in a London or a night out in Dublin: “Dublin, definitely. All my friends live here, so definitely Dublin.”

The one regret I have: “I wish I was able to spend more time with my grandparents. We were very close before I moved to Ireland and they were amazing people.”

Life is too short so…”Embrace it, enjoy every moment and try to live in the moment. Also, surround yourself with people who you love and never slack in telling them or showing them how much they mean to you. “

The one thing I look for in a friend is: “Loyalty is important, obviously. A sense of humour too, but loyalty above everything.”

The character trait I least like in a person is: “Arrogance. If someone is overly cocky to the point that they feel they have to shout to the world, every moment of the day, how great they are, that irks me a little bit.”

My hangover cure: “I don’t really drink that much to have to need one.”

The Irish celebrity whose work I most admire is: “There are lots of people I admire. Miriam O’Callaghan, Cecelia Ahern, Laura Whitmore but for me, any female working in the industry and standing on her own two feet is someone who I admire.”
