Former RTE newsreader Anne Doyle has shut down rumours that she will be taking part in the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars.
The Dublin native said that while she is a fan of the BBC version of the dancing competition, there is no way she would take part in the show because she doesn’t only have two left feet, oh no- she apparently has three!
Speaking to Anton Savage on Today FM Anne said, “Not only am I not doing it, I only discovered in the last 24 hours I was apparently spotted at a boot camp or whatever.
“No it’s not true. I would like to thank all the people for giving me their warm good wishes, pledge me their vote and to those considerable number who have asked me for tickets, sorry, I don’t know how you get them.
“I have three left feet if you can grabble with that concept. But hey, I love the idea and I am a fan of Strictly.
“I know this is going to be the American format but similar. (I’m) a big fan of Strictly and will be a huge fan from the comfort of the sofa.”
Well we’re devastated to say the least!
