Amy Huberman’s hugely popular RTE show Striking Out is set to make its American debut on St.Patrick’s Day.
The mum-of-two played down-on-her-luck solicitor Tara Rafferty in the four part drama series last year, and it was such a big hit with viewers that it was commissioned for a second series.
The legal show has been picked up by American streaming app Acorn TV and it’s set to make its debut on March 17th.
Speaking to the Sunday World, media analyst Mike Raia said this could finally be Amy’s chance to make a name for herself stateside.
“The industry already knows she’s a huge talent.”he said.
“But in Striking Out she commands the screen as never before and studio bosses will be considering her for major network productions.”
Amy’s over the moon that her show’s been picked up in America, and she took to Twitter to share her excitement with fans.
