She became a household name in Ireland from her role as receptionist Daisy in The Clinic – and six years later, Amy Huberman is going back to her beginnings for her new movie role.
IFTA-award winning Amy is back in the receptionist’s seat with her new movie Ghosthunters: On Icy Trails, which is set to hit cinemas later this year.
The mother-of-two will play Emily in the forthcoming Irish/German co-production, and shot her scenes as the receptionist of the Central Ghosthunting Institute in Austria last year.
Ghosthunters, based on the best-selling novel by Cornelia Funke, tells the story of Hugo, an Averagely Spooky Ghost who needs serious help in the art of haunting.
The movie is directed by Tobi Baumann and sees the 35-year-old actress opposite German comedian Anke Engelke and British newcomer Milo Parker.
The release of the film will mark Amy’s return to the big screen after giving birth to baby Billy, her second child with rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll, back in November, 2014.
Amy has taken some time off to care for her new bundle of joy in recent months, but she has still been as busy as ever, including launching a gorgeous new footwear collection and working on the screenplay for her romantic comedy Bolt, a project she plans to appear in.
But she no doubt has been enjoying some downtown with hubby Brian too – as is evident from their recent trip to Dubai and that hilarious “drunken” selfie she shared.
