The new year holds exciting changes for comedian Al Porter, as he’s set to make the move to the bright lights of London. Although this won’t be a permanent fixture for the 23-year-old, he is excited to try something new.
The Tallaght native has already featured on British comedy programmes Live At The Apollo, and has toured across the UK, but he’s now decided to go overseas for three months to test out the UK market.
Speaking to The Herald Al said, “I’m actually moving over in the new year to London. Not permanently, but to try it out. I’ll hit the clubs to do stand-up and I’ve more TV lined up for BBC panel shows. When I’m over there, I’ll try to do more BBC Radio and more TV.
“I’m such a home bird I want to see whether I’ll like living in London. It’s hard to know. I have a lot of things that keep me at home like very good friends so it’s tough.”
This is very exciting, we wish him all the best with his new venture!
