Al Porter will be spending a lot of time over in England, as he’s landed himself a slot on a BBC comedy show.
The Irish comedian’s career has gone from strength to strength in Ireland over the past year and now he’s making his mark on Britain as with his latest gig!
The Tallaght native has revealed that although he can’t give much away about the show, he’ll be working alongside some big names.
“I’ve a few recordings coming up over in London for a TV project. I know it’s annoying but it’s one of those things that I can’t stay too much about yet,” he told the Irish Independent.
“But I’ll be guesting on a very famous TV show alongside people like Jack Whitehall and Ricky Gervais.”
The funnyman has admitted that despite his rising fame, he’s still living at home in Tallaght with his mum and dad, and although he plans to move out in the future, he’s in no rush to flee the nest!
“I’m a real home bird and I just thought, ‘what’s the point in going out and wasting money on rent?'” he said.
“I have tried to buy a house, I put a bid on a house on Tallaght’s main street and I was seriously outbid, so it’s a tough market.
“I will eventually be getting a little starter home, but I’ll probably still live in Tallaght so why not stay at home?”
