We never thought we’d say this, but check Aisling O’Loughlin out in a very chic, eh, pirate costume. We wonder if she’ll ever present Xposé in that get-up!
The TV3 presenter donned a red and white laced coat, patch on her eye and of course, the number one pirate accessory, a parrot on her shoulder as she posed with her cutlass sword in Easons, Dundrum.
Aisling was with her kids Patrick and Louis as they celebrated International Pirate Day and upcoming Warner Bros. family adventure PAN, kicking off a month – long, nationwide series of PAN Reading and Activity at Easons. And she definitely got into the spirit!
The TV3 star recently spoke out on juggling motherhood with her glam showbiz career, and admitted it isn’t easy. She opened up on how balancing the two means life can get hectic, but said that becoming a mother has made her a happier person.
“You focus on these little fellas and it’s kind of given me a sense of purpose,” she said. “You can have these little existential crises – ‘what the hell am I doing here?’
“Now, I’m sure I can still have them, there’s no doubt about it, but it’s given me such a lovely sense of distraction, where I’ve come out of myself, and it’s freeing to be busy with little people.
“They are your responsibility and you have to try to guide them and allow them to be themselves, and you get to love them and you get cuddles,” she told the Irish Independent.
PAN, cert PG, is released in Irish cinemas on Oct 16 with previews on Oct 10/11.
