Aidan Turner has admitted that he wants fans to stop talking about his infamous Poldark scene.
The Irish actor’s chest became a hot topic of conversation in 2015 when the actor bared all for the famous scything scene in BBC series Poldark.
Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph Aidan’s co-star, Eleanor Tomlinson revealed that the Dublin native is getting fed up with only being remembered for this one scene, rather than all else that Poldark has to offer.
She said, “Poldark is about so much more than that one thing. And although of course it’s dream publicity for the show and it certainly grabbed people’s attention, they didn’t want it to be known just for that.
“I mean, Aidan’s a beautiful man – absolutely gorgeous – but I think he would like to be recognised for his performance, and I would like to stop being asked about his chest.”
This is understandable, although the actor has the look and the talent, he deserves to be noticed for his craft. We’ll stop oogling now!
