Dancing With The Stars finalist Aidan O’Mahony became a father for the first time this month. His beautiful wife Denise gave birth to baby Lucia on the 9th of March.
Since then the former Kerry GAA player has been juggling his fatherly duties with dance rehearsals, as he gears up to compete in the DWTS final this Sunday.
Although becoming a dad for the first time can be a daunting task, Aidan said that living with Hometown member Dayl Cronin prepared him for fatherhood, in fact he admitted “a baby is a lot easier to deal with!”
Speaking exclusively to VIPMagazine.ie Aidan said, “We’ve got on like a house on fire for the last four months. We were joking there about how initially, we Googled each other to see who we were living with. We get on great. I think he’s brought out the younger side of me.
“He’s been great. He shows me dances when we go home at night time. I’d be a lot more stressed than he is. He’s a breath of fresh air. I’ll miss him completely. Over the past few weeks, he opened my eyes to fatherhood. A baby is a lot easier to deal with.”
When asked about life after DWTS, the proud dad said that he’ll be enjoying time at home with his wife and little one. “I’ll be on baby duties for a long time,” he admitted.
