James Kavanagh has hit back at an Ireland’s Got Talent viewer who criticised the show for having gay and drag acts.
The woman also hit out at James for relying ‘heavily on his gayness’.
Aoife Collins took to twitter to claim that her ‘children were confused’ by the ‘nonsense’ such as drag queens and gay auditionees.
Fans jumped on James’ defence branding the woman homophobic and offensive.
Friends and family of the Snapchat star and TV presenter also stuck up for him on social media.
James’ mum Margaret was first to hit back at the woman, adding that she was ‘disgusted’ by the comment.
Ireland’s Got Talent judge and Jame’s colleague Denise Van Outen also responded to the comment.
James himself then shared the tweet, with similar sentiments to Denise and his mum, explaining that she was setting a bad example for her children.
Fair play to James for sticking up for himself!
We love Ireland’s Got Talent, do you?
