A mega star was announced as the new face of Newbridge Silverware today: world famous supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The Irish jewellery brand last week teased that a very famous face would be their new ambassador, and the unveiling at the Merrion hotel today for their Blue Box campaign certainly didn’t disappoint.
The iconic star, who is renowned for being one of the top models of her generation in the 80s and 90s, said she was thrilled to be in Dublin for the event. Wearing a black leather dress, the 45-year-old looked sensational as she gushed about loving being back in Ireland, saying she was always made to feel like home here.
In fact, she said while she’s visiting here she loves heading to the pub as she “never has to pay for Guinness!”
A number of Irish well-known faces were ecstatic to get the opportunity to meet the mega star, including Xpose’s Glenda Gilson, who described Naomi as her “favourite supermodel ever.”

Also in attendance for the big reveal were former newsreader Anne Doyle, model and Liir band member Michele McGrath and UTV star Jenny Buckley. Naomi is taking over the role for Newbridge Silverware from actress Amy Huberman and will remain as face of the brand for the next two years.
During her time in the capital Naomi will film a pre-recorded segment for the Late Late Show, which will air Friday night.
