Is there anything better than good food? Well, celebrating that good food!
The winners of the 2025 Irish Food Writers’ Guild Food Awards were announced at a celebratory lunch in Ananda Restaurant in Dublin recently.
The eight winners of the awards were chosen based solely on quality and a commitment to genuine sustainable practices by the Irish Food Writers’ Guild whose members include well known names such as Rachel Allen, Donal Skehan and JP McMahon.
Guests enjoyed a superb lunch, of course! Their meals featured the winning produce, created by chef Sunuraj Thadiyil Kuttappan and Conor Spacey, who won a 2024 Guild food award for his contribution to Irish food.

It was a delicious fusion menu featuring Cashel Blue Cheese Naan, Sneem Black Pudding with Scallop, Jerusalem Artichoke Purée and Celeriac Rémoulade, Higgins Family Butchers, 40 Day Aged Côte de boeuf with Masala Jus and Gunpowder Potatoes and Mourne Dew Distillery Pooka Hazelnut Poitín Liqueur Panna Cotta and Murphy’s Sea Salt Ice-Cream. With delicious wines from Liberty Wines including a Rathfinny Estate Rosé Brut, guests were also treated to chocolates from Teeling Whiskey.
So yum.
