Vogue Williams revealed that she’s been mistaken for being transgender during her appearance on The Tommy Tiernan Show last night.

The model appeared on the first episode of RTE’s latest comedy series alongside Christy Dignam and Russell Howard. Although Tommy didn’t know who Vogue was initially, the two eventually moved past the awkward first encounter and went on to discuss Vogue’s documentary series.

The DJ explained that when she was filming scenes for  a documentary on the LGBT community, a member of her film crew was asked when she transitioned into a woman.

“I was filming my trans documentary and we were at Trans Odyssey, the biggest trans convention in Seattle.” she told Tommy.

However, Vogue took it all in good fun and understands why they might have gotten confused.

“I sound a bit like a boy, I’m very, very tall and I have big hands so I got it.” she said.
