Last night’s Late Late Show saw former Miss Ireland, Amanda Brunker get botox live on stage – and viewers were not happy with the controversial segment.
The 42-year-old is no stranger to the painful procedure, as she first got it done before she got married in 2010 and has been getting a top up once or twice a year ever since.
The mum-of-two spoke candidly about her experience with botox on the show and revealed she doesn’t do it to try and look unnaturally younger, she just wants to achieve a ‘fresher’ look.
“I can’t understand why people think it’s a controversial thing because a lot of people are getting it these days,” she said.
“I’m just a little more obvious about it. It’s not that I want to look like a 20-year-old, I’m 42 now at this stage, so I’d be stupid trying to look like a young one.
“But I do want to look like I’ve had a bit of sleep, our busy lives don’t really allow for that. I want to look like a fresher me, so I don’t want to look different or distorted.”
After chatting about her experience with botox and cosmetic surgery at length, Amanda was injected with botox by Dr Eithne Brenner of Faceworks live on air – and viewers were left unimpressed with the controversial segment.
They took to Twitter in their droves to express their disdain over the live procedure.
