Fantastic news for U2 fans today as Bono confirms that the band will be setting on another world tour next year.
Speaking to “U2 en Espana”, a Spanish fan site, Bono revealed that there is a new album and a tour in the pipeline.
Fellow U2 member Adam Clayton also announced that their new music will be released within the next six months.
“It’s [the new record] not finished yet but you will like it. In terms of lyrics it is stronger than WAR, it has more clarity.
“The second part of the tour is for 2017… you might see a few things in September or October though,” he said.
U2’s Innocence and Experience tour was a sell-out tour and earned the group €122 million.
It was also the third-highest earning tour of 2015. The Dublin rockers were beaten to the post by One Direction who made €192 million, and Taylor Swift who earned €200 million.
We can’t wait to hear their new stuff!
