Eilish O’Carrol and Darren Kennedy have been confirmed to take part in Dancing With The Stars Ireland.
The hugely popular RTE show will be back for a third season on the new year, and the lineup is being announced throughout the week.
After Ireland’s Fittest Family presenter Mairead Ronan was the first star confirmed to be taking part, Eilish O’Carrol and Darren Kennedy have now joined her in putting on her dancing shoes.
“I am terrified. I’ve never experienced such fear. The excitement is just as high,” she told Ryan Tubridy this morning.
“I was interested. It’s one show I’ve watched since it started. I love the glitz and the glamour. I’ve pictured myself doing it and thought I’d be gorgeous in that dress – I didn’t think it’d become a reality but it did.”
“I’ve zero dance experience,” said Darren. “I’m equally terrified and petrified.”
It’s a year of big changes, as Jennifer Zamparelli is set to take over from Amanda Byram, hosting the show alongside Nicky Byrne.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Dancing with the Stars team,” Jen said.
“I was lucky enough to witness the live production first hand last year when I sat in the audience supporting Bernard O’Shea and I was genuinely so impressed by the overall scale of the show.
“I can’t wait to get my glam on and start entertaining the nation on Sunday nights and who better to do it with than the fabulous Nicky Byrne.”
