A new lineup for 2FM weekdays has been announced.
Listeners were suprised to see that Tracy Clifford was absent from the schedule.
She has been a staple of weekdays on 2FM for a decade, but her show, The Big Tune Afternoon has now been replaced.
Tracy took to social media to share an update on her role.
She began: “10 years. After more than a decade-‘The Big Tune Afternoon’ with me, Tracy Clifford, is coming to an end over the next few weeks.
“We’ve had it all! The most incredible guests, amazing Studio 8 sessions, Panic! playing the best new Irish music, Ten Tune Tracy (my only talent😅)getting out on the road… I think we’ve been to every festival in Ireland at this stage! And let’s not forget the daily ribbing from Showbiz and Two foot head D.O.B!
“But more than anything, it’s been about chatting to YOU, our listeners,every single afternoon.”
She went on to say: “Being part of your 12–3 has been such a privilege, and something I’ll always be so proud of.

“But it’s also a job that asks a lot, professionally and personally…and I’ve been feeling a little nudge for a while now to try new things, and to give time to important things in my life that I haven’t been able to fully do before.
“I’m staying within the RTÉ radio family (more on that soon 👀) and I’m dipping a toe into telly!”
How exciting!
“(Tonight I’ll be on The Six O’Clock Show sofa with the brilliant Brian Dowling Gourounlian filling in for 2FM’s new drive time host Katja Mia!),” she teased.
“I’m also really excited for you to hear the next chapter of afternoons on 2FM with Demi and Mikey. From the moment I heard them on air, I knew they had an unmistakable spark!it’s infectious, they’re great craic, and just two of the loveliest people. I can’t wait to see what they do with it.
“We’ve still got a couple of weeks left of The Big Tune Afternoon, so I’d love you to join me -let’s enjoy every minute and maybe even go out with a bang 🎉 (a 3-hour cliffbanger special, perhaps? 👀)
