Aisling Bea’s Hollywood career continues to go from strength to strength.
The Irish actress has officially joined the cast of Starman, an upcoming sci-fi thriller that will see her star alongside Oscar winner Brendan Fraser and Emmy winner Jeff Daniels.

However, when unexpected events leave him stranded millions of miles from Earth, his mission quickly becomes a desperate fight for survival, fuelled by love.
Aisling is set to play Julia Hanley, a “defiant and magnetic” Irish photographer who sees beyond Tom’s ambitious exterior and helps redefine his life through love.
The film is being directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Josh Wakely from his own original screenplay and is currently filming in Australia.

Naturally, Aisling couldn’t resist making a joke about her Oscar-winning co-star’s most famous recent role, sharing the announcement on Instagram alongside the caption: “I’m having a whale of a time.”
It’s another exciting project for the Kildare comedian and actress, who has gone from starring in Irish and British productions to becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand talents.
Fans will also see Aisling in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Marian Keyes’ Grown Ups, while she has recently wrapped filming on the romantic comedy Hello & Paris, where she’ll star opposite Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem.
Sure, it’s all go!
