It’s been quite the night for our remaining five couples on Dancing with the Stars as they continue to fight for their place in next weekend’s final.

On top of each couple dancing individually, all five also took to the floor together in this year’s Dance Marathon, where one by one a couple was asked by the judges to leave the floor.

Hansel and Gretel was the theme as the couples danced to “I Want Candy”.

While the last one standing earned five extra points!

Speaking to Jame Patrice ahead of the Dance Marathon, judge Brian Redmond emphasised how important it is for the remaining celebrities.

Sharing how it’s all to play for and can even make the difference in gaining a place in this year’s final.

“It can make a real difference to the leaderboard at the end of the night. If you missed the top of the leaderboard by two or three points but went on to win the dance marathon that could bump you up that leaderboard.”

Kevin and Laura were the first couple asked to leave the dancefloor leaving them with one extra point.

Suzanne and Michael followed next with two points, then Carl and Emily with three points and Damien and Kylee with four points.

Brooke and Robert were the last couple remaining on the dancefloor, earning themselves five extra points to the overall judge’s score.

“I did not expect that,” expressed Brooke about her win. While head judge Loraine Barry praised their energy.

“That’s called the kitchen sink and they threw everything at it. That’s how you win the Dance Marathon,” she shared.
