Eamonn Holmes has announced some exciting career news – and fans are delighted for him!

Yesterday the seasoned presenter revealed that he is returning to Good Morning Britain next week to co-host the breakfast show, while regular hosts, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, take their Easter break.

Taking to Instagram he shared a snap of the GMB logo and alongside it he wrote: “Very honoured to have been invited back to @Itv Towers to Guest Host @GMB for the week of April 10th. Hope we can start the Day together.”

Eamonn will be reunited with Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins, who he worked with on GM:TV and Sunrise.

Speaking of his new gig, Eamonn said: “After the last four months of lie-ins, I feel refreshed and my hips have healed well.”

Fans are overjoyed with the news that he’ll be guest hosting the popular show – with some calling for him to permanently replace Piers Morgan!

One fan wrote: “Excellent news Eamonn. Delighted to hear this.”

Another said: “Have they sacked that horrible piers Morgan? Hopefully they have.”

With a third commenting: “Great news! Wish it was permanent!”

Watch Eamonn return to his former glory days on ITV from Monday April 10th to Thursday April 13th.
