With the return of Dancing with the Stars now just around the corner, we are excited to have some glitz and glamour to brighten up these dull winter evenings.
The full line-up of contestants has already been revealed, and this year’s show is set to be an exciting one! Now, the show has announced which pro dancers the Irish celebs are set to be coupled up with, and the first six have been revealed today.
Aengus Mac Grainna and Emily Barker
Aengus Mac Grainna is partnered with Emily Barker for series five of Dancing with the Stars. In the last season Emily made it to the final, so perhaps this is the year she takes home the glitterball trophy with Aengus!
Ellen Keane and Stephen Vincent
Paralympic swimmer, Ellen Keane is partnered up with Stephen Vincent as he returns to the show for the second time.
Having already taken home a gold medal this summer, Ellen is sure to be going for gold again in this year’s show!
Jordan Conroy and Salome Chachua
Ireland Rugby Seven’s star, Jordon Conroy is no stranger to hard and exhaustive work, so we’re sure he’s well set to take on the challenge of Dancing with the Stars.
Jordon will be paired with pro dancer, Salome Chachua who has a wealth of experience working on the Georgia version of the show.
Missy Keating and Ervinas Merfeldas
We can’t wait to see Missy Keating’s bubbly and enthusiastic personality take to the dance floor in this year’s series.
Missy will be joined by a new Irish pro dancer, Ervinas Merfeldas!
Gráinne Seoige and John Nolan
Gráinne Seoige is joining series five of the show with returning pro dancer, John Nolan.
With Gráinne’s TV presenting experience, we’re expecting her to be as cool as a cucumber as she waltzes her way to the glitterball trophy.
Nicolas Roche and Karen Byrne
Cyclist, Nicolas Roche will be paired up with former olympian and pro dancer, Karen Byrne for the series.
Karen has previously won the show before, so perhaps she can do it again with Nicolas by her side!
The remaining six couples names will be revealed on Thursday and you can watch Dancing with the Stars when it returns this Sunday night at 6.30 pm to RTÉ One.
