The Blizzards have re-released hit song to raise funds for new Irish charity

Irish band The Blizzards have announced that they’re releasing their biggest hit, ‘Trust Me I’m A Doctor’, in order to raise much-needed funds for a new Irish charity.

The funds will be going to Heroes Aid, a charity that aims to elevate the value and support our frontline healthcare workers.

The charity began by sourcing and delivering much-needed PPE to healthcare staff who were working throughout the early days of the Covid pandemic, but have now expanded its services to provide educational and psychological support to all healthcare staff.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the band wrote: “With the help of Irish radio and our nation – let’s give back to for frontline workers who risked their lives to save ours ❤️

“We recorded #trustmeimadoctor with the stunning @rteconcertorchestra so we could raise money for @heroes_aid_ireland a charity that is supporting frontline workers in the midst and aftermath of the pandemic. By raising money through this brilliant charity the hope is to be able to provide therapy resources for any worker who needs it ❤️

“Donate €4 by texting HERO to 50300

“And massive kudos to all the Irish radio stations who have come with us and are playlisting the song in support 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻”
