She told The Herald that she was sought out for the show and was extremely close to signing her contract with the channel in question, until she met the co-host and they butted heads. “We had almost signed on the dotted line, until I met the co-presenter and lets just say we didn’t gel at all,” she revealed.

The RTE star admitted that she tried her best to make it work for the sake of the job, and was left “devastated” when it eventually didn’t work out.

“The main presenter hadn’t done any live TV so they wanted me as a pair of safe hands. I pretended we were getting on but I just didn’t like him,” she said.

Despite her dislike for this mystery presenter, Sinead has remained silent on his name, as he is still on television. “He’s still presenting, so I can’t say who he is-he’s doing very well for himself,” she explained.

The Cork native is doing well here but was looking forward to taking a new step in her career. She kept coy on the new venture, only telling her parents and now husband. “Luckily I hadn’t told anyone besides my parents and my now-husband Conor because I’d made that mistake before and then you’re left mortified when it doesn’t work out.”
