Simon Delaney has made his debut on hit soap Coronation Street.
The Irish actor stepped onto the cobbles last night as jewellery salesman Phil, appearing in both The Rovers Return pub and underwear factory Underworld.
The Weekend AM presenter took to Twitter after the show had aired to thank the cast for the warm welcome.

Fans voiced their approval of the 46-year-old’s guest appearance on the show, and some even called for his character to be made a permanent fixture.
We would definitely love to see him make a return to Weatherfield!
