Simon Cowell has revealed that he is disappointed with the way he’s been left out of the One Direction boys’ solo plans.
The music mogul formed the boy group on The X Factor in 2010 and helped them achieve huge success with his record label, Syco records over the next six years. However, it appears that since the band went on hiatus in March they’ve steered clear of Simon.
When questioned about the boys solo careers, the 56-year-old admitted that although he’s heard rumours of solo projects some of them have on the horizon, he hasn’t been asked to guide them with their individual projects.
“I hear so many things now, which they’re doing, which I’m not involved with.” he told The Daily Mail.
“It’s a bit like I’m getting the hint you don’t want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous,
“Look, I’m not going to lie when I hear they’re doing something, and they haven’t approached me. You think, ‘Well I would have liked you to,’ but it’s their choice. I’m not bitter – much.”
Simon also recently came out and said he was not happy that Liam Payne signed with Capitol Records over his music label.
“It is a bit annoying if I am honest with you,” he admitted.
“Mainly because it is a another label who has now got your artist who you worked with for so many years. But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don’t think anyone else from the band will do that.”
We hope Simon and the boys will have patched things up before One Direction reform!
